2. Copy the following coding and paste in Terminal application, then press Enter.
   1. /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user  
   
3. After that, relaunch Finder by holding down the Alt key and right clicking the Finder icon in the Dock, then click Relaunch.
   

That’s it! Try to right-click a file and go to ‘Open With’ menu. You will see all the duplicate app icons removed.
